A Local Convention-Goer’s Guide to Local Conventions (Brandon Anthony)
1) Discuss the many costs of conventions and ways to potentially save money by choosing alternatives. (Tickets, Transportation, Food Costs, Hotels)
2) Talk about ways to prepare yourself and your hobbies mentally before going to a con.
(Making Social Media accounts, Following Local Nerds Online, socializing with local nerds offline, events to go to socialize, Con Bags, Making a Con Plan )
3) Discuss several local conventions that I have went to recently, the prices I’ve paid to go to them in the context of living in Sydney and traveling to them, what events/panels are present and unique aspects of each convention.
(Con name, Price of Tickets, Hotels, Food, Panels that I went too that seemed cool, Outside events that happen around the con.)
4) End the panel with a tentative timeline of local conventions that happened in 2025, including a list of local conventions that have already posted their times for 2026, so that people can start preparing for them.

Gaming room has a large collection of board games, puzzles, and other fun things, as well as a number of video game setups including Mario Kart, Smash Bros, PSVR (Beat Saber).
Ideal space for tabletop games of all styles, folks are encouraged to bring their own to play with others.
Reg desk is outside the vendor room.
Calm room is a relaxed, low-noise/light environment with art supplies, puzzles, etc.
